When you are connected to the WelcomeWest wireless network, your wireless transmissions are encrypted between your wireless device and the wireless access point it is connected to. This is referred to as "over-the-air" encryption. Any communication your wireless device has between any computer, web site, mail server, etc. 默认情况下不是安全的吗. This means that any unencrypted data sent over the network may be intercepted by malicious users. You can verify that a web site has encryption enabled by looking for the "padlock" symbol in the corners of your browser window. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that any information you send over the wireless network is secure.

Eduroam是什么?

Eduroam is a wireless network that allows you to connect to the internet at any other institution that offers access to the Eduroam wireless network by logging in with your University of West Georgia email address and password. This allows you to travel to a variety of universities, both in the United States and internationally, and access the internet wirelessly without needing to request a guest account.

Windows 10操作系统说明

1. Click on the Network icon on the lower-right of the screen. This icon looks like a set of signal bars.
2. Click on "eduroam" in the wireless network selection pop-up.
3. Click on the “连接” button to begin connecting to the eduroam network.
